Light, rustic walls with textured surfaces are today's trend in Danish interior design. Now homeowners who have an eye for detail can add their personal touch to their walls.

Skalflex A/S, located in Viborg, has perfected the popular texture paint and made a complete system with plenty of possibilities for designing individual solutions with exciting and creative surface textures and tasteful tints.

The texture paint itself is called Skalflex Interior Texture. The new thing about it is that it is now available in three different textures; fine-grained, coarse-grained and soft sand. It is supplemented by the popular Skalflex Indoor Limewash, which - as the name suggests - is a pre-mixed paint product that allows you to have limewashed walls inside your home. It is thus up to the homeowner to decide how rustic the walls should be. For all paints, surfaces can be made softer to the eye simply by thinning the paint with a little water. You can create surface textures and patterns with various tools. Lastly, you can now tint the paint in a number of light and tasteful pastel colours.
Skalflex has more than 30 years of experience in texture paints. Current trends are acrylic/silicate based paints with mineral fillers for indoor use. These distinguish themselves by being highly vapour permeable and by giving the wall a dull, durable and solid surface that you can even re-coat later.

These texture paints can be applied directly without the use of primers on most indoor wall surfaces. In the case of absorbent surfaces, we recommend using a primer first.
