Skalcem House-Stopping Skalcem House-Stopping is a white cement based stopping with good adherence. The stopping can be used outside on mineral surfaces. Indoors, the stopping can be used on mineral as well as previously painted surfaces.

As Skalcem house-Stopping is a cement based product, it hardens in damp and is waterproof. Special mineral additives make Skalcem House-Stopping very light and prevent shrinkage and cracking on drying. The consistency of Skalcem House-Stopping distinguishes itself by the product being so easy to apply and the fact that it leaves an even surface.

Skalcem House-Stopping has a good coverage, which means that a lesser amount is needed compared to other cement based stopping. Skalcem House-Stopping forms a bright clean mineral surface, the ideal base for many kinds of paint.

As Skalcem House-Stopping is a cement based product and therefore hardens in damp, it can be used in damp places where other acrylic and PVC stopping cause trouble. In the same way, Skalcem House-Stopping is very open to diffusion.

Application

Apply Skalcem House-Stopping using a steel board or stopping knife. Let the Skalcem House-Stopping dry for a few minutes after application before finishing with a spounge. In order to obtain a smooth surface, sandpaper the area within 7 days.

When filling large holes it is a good idea to add 20% quartz sand (0.4-0.8 mm) to the Skalcem House-Stopping. Absorbent surfaces must be watered before applying the stopping.

Mixed stopping must be used within 2 hours.

The surface can be painted 2 days after applying Skalcem House-Stopping, depending on the kind of surface and the temperature.
