Skalflex Silicate Primer

Skalflex Silicate Primer is based on a double water glass concentrate which forms a chemical reaction with any mineral underlay.

Skalflex Silicate Primer can be used when painting with Skalflex Facade Silicate Paint. The surface must be dry, free from salts, remaining whitewash and other loose matter, prior to application.

Directions for use:

On highly absorbent surfaces like breezeblocks, lime, plaster and finish:

- Pre-op: Mix silicate Primer and water 1:3

- Priming: Mix Silicate Paint and Silicate primer 1:1

- Top coat: Add 15-20% Silicate Primer to Silicate Paint. 

On painting a new colour or painting for the first time on very absorbent surfaces like concrete, cement plaster and trowelled finish:

- Priming: Mix silicate Paint and Silicate Primer 1:1

- Top coat: Add 15-20% Silicate primer to Silicate Paint.

Freshening up:

- Add 15-20% Silicate Primer to Silicate Paint.

Use water to clean tools. Working temperature min +8C, max +25 °C, max 85% RH Store above 0 °C.

Note: 

Skalflex Silicate Primer corrodes glass, ceramic tiles, metal etc.
